Back to the grind?....did I ever leave it?!

Class started again and along with it, that constant feeling of urgency and being just behind where I need to be. You know, that feeling like a
black knot in your stomach
that is connected to a switch that will not turn off in your brain
by a tight spiked chain that runs up your spine...
...
yeah that feeling!

I am not going to miss that when I am finally done with school. There is nothing like working your ass off only to feel perpetually like you are about to miss a deadline or loose a paper or fall off the face of the earth! Bring on the ulcers.....

Yep. I don't miss that at all. I honestly thought I would miss school. I am such a 'school person' - I love Syllabi & binders & college-ruled paper.

But I don't miss it. Not one bit! Maybe I will next year? who knows...

Oh man, I know exactly what you're talking about. It's like constant anxiety...trying to make sure you have everything done and making sure you're not forgetting about anything.

Good luck with all your classes!

Hmmm... I know that feeling well! I wish I had some more encouraging words, but I finished my PhD 7 years ago and have gone back to feeling that way for the last 6 1/2! Always behind, overlooking something until it is urgently overdue etc etc... Still I am glad it is done. At least I am paid to feel like this (though not much)!
Hang in there!

Ugh, I know exactly how you feel! I start on the 21st and I'm not looking forward to it. I still have 2 years before I'll graduate and it seems like forever. I get nervous about everything so I definitely understand the constant anxiety about homework and tests and all that. Hope you get through it alright, know you're never alone!!
